Interseal - Sealing Technology

About Interseal

As a supplier of innovative sealing technology products, interseal has concentrated on the manufacture of seals, sealing components and valves for applications in the chemical, petrochemical, pharmaceutical and food industries. They also specialize in solutions to individual sealing problems in the design and engineering fields.

Company history

Interseal was founded as a one-man business in 1983 by Rolf Schmitz, an experienced seals expert. Over the years, the company has developed an excellent reputation as a competent engineering partner in difficult sealing applications for the chemical, pharmaceutical and food industries.

The range of applications for conventional mechanical seals has repeatedly been limited by the axial and radial deflection of the stirring or mixing shafts. With the development of dry9000®, the seal—as the weakest link in the production process—became a success factor.

From 2003, the change from a maker of custom items to a manufacturer in series was completed, as the dry9000® was standardized to DIN dimensions for agitators and mixers.

Stocks were then built up as the continuous extension of the service and sales centers, initiated in 2009, pursued the objective of offering interseal’s many renowned customers the best possible on-site support for their sealing issues. This is a maxim to which interseal is fully committed.

Since October 2017, Pfaudler interseal (formerly interseal) has been part of the GMM Pfaudler Group.

The Headquarters are currently located in Hofheim-Wallau, Germany. Here, you can also find a service center and warehouse that guarantees the availability of all DIN seals.

Interseal today

With the patented dry9000®, the interseal brand has developed a technically and economically mature shaft seal that is not only able to accommodate the characteristic lurching movements of shafts, but also prevent any contamination of the finished product as it runs dry. The dry9000® is the better alternative to a mechanical seal or packing, finally converting the weakest link in the production chain to a genuine factor for success.

The innovative interseal dry9000® - the basis for all sorts of applications.
