Pfaudler expands its business in the Korean market through GLK Pfaudler Co., Ltd

With a population of more than 50 million people, South Korea is the fourth-largest economy in Asia after China, Japan and India.

Its export-oriented economic system (amounting to nearly half of the national GDP) places it among the world’s 15 leading economies, driven by its main production sectors: automotive, chemical industry, shipbuilding, high-tech and construction.

Its geographical position and the characteristics of its production systems makes South Korea a strategically important logistics and technology hub.

This is confirmed by the fact that Pfaudler’s Executive Committee has announced a new update on the joint venture established on 12 May 2016 between GLK Co. Ltd. and the South Korean liaison office of Pfaudler, the company now known as GLK Pfaudler Co., Ltd.

Since South Korea’s chemical sector and the related process industries are expected to grow significantly in the next few years.  The GMM Pfaudler Group plans that this strategic partnership will help attract significant shares in the markets utilizing glass-lined equipment and the markets requiring dedicated services. GLK Pfaudler was established to accomplish this important growth and business development target. 

Through this partnership we will now have the technological know-how and the different skills and resources necessary to provide solutions, technologies and customised services under the Pfaudler brand, for the sector’s various industries present on the Korean market.

GLK Pfaudler Co., Ltd is located in Ulsan, in South Korea, and is managed by Mr. Oh Daewon, acting as President and CEO of GLK Pfaudler. As the CEO, Mr. Daewon manages and supervises all the production and sales activities of the company.

After the former liaison office was closed, all activities were incorporated in the operating facility of GLK Pfaudler and Mr. Choi Doyoung, who had previously managed the liaison office, is now the new Sales Manager for GLK Pfaudler.
