Pfaudler acquires Interseal and extends its offering of Sealing Technologies

Pfaudler (“Pfaudler”, www.pfaudler.com) has completed, effective 24 October 2017, the acquisition of interseal Dipl.-Ing. Rolf Schmitz GmbH (“interseal”, www.interseal.de).

Interseal is a supplier of sealing technologies suitable for a wide variety of applications within the chemical, petrochemical, pharmaceutical and food industry. The product portfolio of interseal includes seals, sealing components and valves.  Seals are based on a distinctive and patented dry-run technology, which is often the best alternative to a traditional mechanical seal.

Interseal products represent a natural fit for use on rotating equipment including agitators, mixers, dryers, filters, as well as, worm conveyors; and in general, where there is a need to avoid contamination of the finished products.  Interseal is also specialized in the design and engineering of solutions for individual, customized sealing problems.

As a result of the acquisition, interseal will have access to Pfaudler’s global sales and service organizations in all continents.  At the same time, Pfaudler gains access to an innovative technology related to one of the most significantly utilized components normally used on Pfaudler equipment.

Interseal offices are currently based in Hofheim-Wallau, Germany, where they also have an assembly and stocking centre to offer off-the-shelf availability for all DIN seals.

Interseal will strengthen Pfaudler’s Services competence, contributing greatly to the Group’s growth strategy in this area.
