High Purity Biodiesel (Methyl Ester) via high vacuum short path distillation in a Pfaudler Wiped Film Evaporator. The revised specification for Biodiesel (B100) - ASTM 6751 has reduced the allowable levels of water, metals and sediment to reduce particulate emissions, fouling, filter plugging and other engine problems. Vacuum distillation will ensure a producer can consistently meet the specification and produce high quality biodiesel. Unreacted oil, mono and diglycerides, metals, catalyst and other contaminates are separated and water wahing can be greatly reduced. Since the distillation occurs under high vacuum in our short path evaporator, the biodiesel product is exposed to high temperatures for just seconds avoiding product degradation.
